The Battlefield 4 tanks are based on real world tanks in service at various armies across the globe. Tanks in Battlefield 4 will include the main battle tanks from the various factions, such as the M1 Abrams for the US faction, and the T-90 for Russia, and the Type 99 forChina. These two will be the main Battlefield 4 tanks. A sub section of tanks includes tank destroyers such as the M1128. Like all other vehicles, the tanks feature Battlefield 4 unlocks as well. Tanks are generally considered the most powerful vehicles in the game, regardless of what type of map is played.
The Battlefield 4 APCs — Armored Personnel Carriers — are fast moving vehicles that can transport several players and offer good firepower against infantry and other armored vehicles. They’re also known as Infantry Fighting Vehicles. APCs in Battlefield 4 are based on real-world vehicles in service around the world. Battlefield 4 APCs are effective for quick and safe transport of players from point to point, and are very effective in capturing flags on large open maps. They are also armed well enough to engage other armored vehicles.
Battlefield 4 jets are based on fighter and bomber jets found in active service around the world. Jets in Battlefield 4 range from fighters such as the F-35, to bombers such as the A-10 Thunderbolt. Battlefield 4 jets are faction based, and are realistically portrayed based on their real world counterparts. However, despite major differences between the jets in the real world, they are much more similar in the game, in order to properly balance teams against each other.
The Battlefield 4 helicopters range from large attack helicopters to transport helicopters, to light and agile attack choppers. Helicopters in Battlefield 4 are based on their real world counterparts in service around the world. The main attack helicopter for the US faction is the AH-1Z Viper, the MI-28 for Russia, and the WZ-10 for China. Battlefield 4 helicopters usually seat more than one player — some of the transport choppers can ferry 6 players at once, but are generally very slow and vulnerable to enemy AA fire.
Battlefield 4 transport vehicles are small, light, and fast vehicles whose main purpose is to transport players from point to point. Transport vehicles in Battlefield 4 are lightly armored and some feature on-board weapons. However, they are not to be confused with Battlefield 4 APCs, which are armored personnel carriers. Battlefield 4 transport vehicles are usually very lightly armored and are only armed with a single .50 cal machine gun.
The Battlefield 4 Boats selection is much greater than in previous games in the series. Boats in Battlefield 4 are much more powerful this time around, and range from simple rubber boats and jet skis, to powerful attack and interceptor boats. Battlefield 4 boats can be equipped with powerful anti-tank and anti-air weapons, and feature mini-guns against enemy infantry as well. Some of the larger boats have bays that contain jet-skis for the players to use.
